Rebeccah Kleinberg, owner and founder of What An Obedient Dog! Head Dog Trainer and Behaviorist. She grew up in Silicon Valley in California. Although she misses the mild weather, she now calls Carrollton, Texas her home since 2006. She has always loved all kinds of animals, especially dogs, and is fascinated with how they think, how they communicate, and how they are so lovingly devoted to their humans with unconditional love and forgiveness. Her real teachers are all the dogs she's owned, as well as, and her 3 dogs Tina, Acer and Daisy (see photo gallery below). Jason is in doggie heaven running and playing!

Rebeccah has been in the pet industry for 20 years as a certified professional dog trainer teaching obedience classes, providing private training, and boarding & training dogs out of her training facility in Carrollton. She earned her professional dog trainer certification from Animal Behavior College in 2003. Later she attended the Trainers Academy at Service Dogs, Inc., where they teach dog trainers to become Service Dog trainers, which is her passion. She is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator for the AKC. This designation indicates your dog is well-mannered, and ready for Therapy Dog work, or Service Dog work. As a Certified Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor, she teaches Pet CPR & First Aid Workshops every other month. She is also an Animal Behavior College Mentor helping to train new students for their new exciting careers as dog trainers.

Rebeccah has taught all levels of positive dog training in her career, such as Puppy/Beginner classes, Middle School classes (intermediate), and the advanced, Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep classes, Tricks classes, and Service Dog task training. The classes teach the basic commands and good manners, which include training for puppy, puppy socialization, adult dog obedience, intermediate dog obedience, leash walking, advanced dog obedience and heel. She also has worked with behavioral issues such as leash aggression, dog-to-dog aggression, shy dog, fearful dog, introduction to new baby and dog, and introduction to new dog to current dog. She prepares dogs to pass the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam to further their jobs as a Therapy Dog or Service Dog. She is motivated, enthusiastic, and makes her dog obedience classes and private dog training fun and entertaining.

Rebeccah knew her niche was working with dogs after watching, throughout the years, the bond between dogs and their owners grow as they learned and practiced the training with their own dogs. She named her company after the first puppy she trained. He was an 8 week old Rottweiler that started with Puppy Training, and then took the Middle School class, followed by Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep class. He passed with flying colors, but during the examination, all it took was watching this "all grown up" puppy heel so beautifully by the side of his owner, and her first thought was "what an obedient dog!".

“I couldn’t image doing anything else besides training dogs. I truly love dogs and love helping people bond with their beloved companions. There is nothing more fulfilling in life for me than what I get to do every day.” Rebeccah
